Many cruise lines offer various add-on packages, ranging from beverage packages and specialty restaurants to onboard credit or spa treatments. Whether the price is worth it depends on each trip and individual. Also, the offers often vary depending on the duration or booking date of the cruise.

Speciality dining

Not all restaurants on board are included in the cruise fare. You can have an excellent vacation without dining at these specialty restaurants; however, indulging in a romantic dinner at the steakhouse or enjoying a fun evening with friends at the Teppanyaki grill adds some variety to the evening entertainment.

Drinking package

With the beverage package, almost all drinks you want to consume on the ship are included. Certain items like Starbucks, energy drinks, or bottled water need to be purchased separately. It's worth taking a look at NCL's list for details.

Excursion credit

With the excursion credit, currently $50 is credited from the price of the first person's excursion for each port.

Internet

The standard internet package includes a certain number of complimentary minutes depending on the length of the voyage. The speed is limited to 1-3 Mbit/s. This means that for uploading photos and videos or streaming, the free package is not practically suitable. In this case, you would need to purchase an upgrade.
